Overview:
POSITION SUMMARY
Sets up tray assembly line for cold food, beverages, soup station and places items on patient trays according to patient menu selections. Delivers and retrieves meal trays from patients in their hospital rooms. Calculates the amount of fluids and percentage of food the patient consumes from their meal tray. Performs a variety of other related duties including preparing basic food items, loading tray delivery carts, transporting carts to and from patient care areas working in ware washing (as necessary), maintaining work area in a clean and orderly condition, and working in other assigned areas within the department.
Qualifications:
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
High School Diploma/GED Other Required Skills/Knowledge:
Ability to read, write, perform basic math and follow written instructions.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Preferred Other Skills/Knowledge:
Approximately one month on the job experience necessary in order to learn trayline procedures, become familiar with trayline assembly and learn department and Medical Center policies and procedures. OSF HealthCare is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
