Job Description
About the Role American Legion Post 18 is seeking a dependable Busser/Dishwasher to support our canteen and kitchen operations. Some shifts are steady and some are busy, so we need someone who can keep things clean, organized, and moving during rushes while staying productive during slower periods. Schedule Tuesday-Friday, 4:30 PM-8:00 PM (Friday until 8:30 PM) Hourly rate $11.00 Duties Clear and reset tables promptly and keep dining areas clean and welcoming Wash dishes, glassware, utensils, and kitchen tools using a dish machine and/or hand-washing Keep dish area organized: scrape, sort, sanitize, and restock clean items Follow food safety and sanitation practices (clean-as-you-go, proper chemical use, handwashing) Work as part of a small team and communicate needs during busy times Experience Reliable attendance and ability to work the posted schedule Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to ~40 lbs, and work in a fast-paced environment Comfortable working around food service equipment and cleaning chemicals Positive attitude and willingness to help where needed Restaurant or dishwashing experience is helpful, but we can train the right person How to Apply Apply in person at American Legion Post 18, Bloomington, IN.
