Sep 1, 2026 Job Description The Dracut Public Schools Food Service Department is seeking a full-time Cafeteria Worker for the upcoming 2026-2027 school year. The Cafeteria Worker supports daily food service operations in a school setting. This role includes food preparation, meal service, maintaining cleanliness, and providing a positive dining experience for students and staff, all while following all safety and nutrition guidelines.
  • Assist with the preparation and service of breakfast and lunch meals
  • Serve food according to portion and nutrition guidelines
  • Set up and break down serving lines and dining areas
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen, equipment, and cafeteria
  • Follow proper food safety and handling procedures
  • Operate kitchen equipment safely (ovens, slicers, warmers, etc.)
  • Restock food, supplies, and condiments as needed
  • Provide friendly and respectful customer service to students and staff
  • Assist with dishwashing and waste disposal
  • Support special events, catering, or school functions as needed Description
  • Follow directions from the Cook/Manager or Food Service Director/Assistant Director
