Established in 1892, the Club offers its members, their families, and guests exceptional recreational facilities, athletic venues, and a welcoming environment rooted in tradition and high standards of service. Position Overview The Assistant Food & Beverage Manager supports day-to-day dining operations with a strong emphasis on service standards, team development, and floor leadership. This role works closely with senior managers to ensure smooth execution, clear communication, and a welcoming, well-paced dining experience across assigned outlets. You will be highly visible on the floor, engaged with both members and staff, and expected to anticipate needs, solve problems in real time, and reinforce standards through presence and coaching. Key Responsibilities Support daily food and beverage operations with a strong focus on service execution Actively manage the floor, ensuring professionalism, pacing, and attention to detail Train, coach, and support service staff to deliver warm, consistent hospitality Assist with scheduling, staffing adjustments, and labor awareness Help execute private events and high-volume service periods Uphold club service standards and contribute to a positive, accountable team culture Address member feedback and service recovery with urgency and care Plan and execute at least one large Club Event per calendar year Qualifications 1?3 years of supervisory or management experience in hospitality (private club, upscale restaurant, or hotel preferred) Strong floor presence with the ability to lead calmly under pressure Proven ability to train, motivate, and hold teams to high standards Excellent communication and organizational skills Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays Bachelor?s degree preferred, or equivalent professional experience Compensation & Benefits Competitive salary: $70,000?$80,000, commensurate with experience Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision insurance Retirement plan with employer contribution Paid time off Paid parental leave Employee meals Professional development opportunities Clothing allowance This role is ideal for a hospitality professional who wants to grow within a strong leadership culture, values teamwork and accountability, and takes pride in creating memorable experiences through consistency, warmth, and execution.
