Tuesday - Sunday, Mid-day to evening 15-20 hours per week The Woodlands Club is a private, member-owned country club. We pride our selves on our excellent services and amenities we offer. The Busser/Food Runner is responsible for cleaning dining room tables, assisting food servers with running their food out to the appropriate table, as well as resetting silverware and place settings. The Busser/Food Runner is responsible for assisting with maintaining a clean dining room. This may include dusting, vacuuming, scrubbing, mopping, and other cleaning tasks.
Job Duties:
- Responsible for full table set-up including placing linens, folding napkins, setting bread baskets, rolling silverware, placing silverware, glassware, and setting up high-chairs or booster seats, etc.,
- Responsible for full table tear-down including removing soiled linens, cleaning chairs, cleaning table tops, collecting trash and all soiled dishes from the table, quick vacuum or sweep as needed if carpet is soiled, cleaning and putting away high-chairs or booster seats, etc.,
- Polish silverware, glassware, and restock server station.
- Assist server with carrying food trays to tables, serving water as guests are seated, and refilling water glasses throughout service.
- Throughout service, keep ice bins and buckets filled, if there is a salad bar/buffet set-up, keep clean, and remove empties from salad bar/buffet.
- Keep dining room, grill area, or other food-service area clean. Clean up spills, broken glass, broken service ware, and address any other similar problems with minimal disruption to diners.
- Takes packaged take-out orders to reception stand for member pick-up.
- Attends pre-service training (line-up meeting).
- Re-sets tables at end of shift for the next meal period.
- Must follow all safe food handling and liquor laws.
- Adheres to The Woodlands Clubs policies and procedures.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Must be 17 years of age or older, in order to serve alcoholic beverages with supervision.
- TIPS certification, a plus.
- Previous experience in fine dining environment, a plus.
- Ability to bend, stand, lift, pull, and work overhead.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand for 8 hours at a time.
