Job Summary We are seeking Seasonal Food Service Workers to support food concession operations along the Detroit Riverfront . This role involves preparing and serving food in a fast-paced outdoor environment, delivering excellent customer service, and handling cash transactions. The ideal candidate is dependable, energetic, and enjoys working with the public in a high-traffic, event-style setting. Seasonal schedules may include days, evenings, weekends, and holidays based on Riverfront activity. Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities Learn and maintain knowledge of menu items and ingredients Prepare food items including snacks, grill items, and beverages Serve customers quickly and accurately in concession areas Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems and handle cash, credit, and digital transactions Provide friendly and efficient customer service Maintain accurate cash handling and drawer accountability Restock food, beverages, and supplies as needed Keep food at proper temperatures (below 41°F or above 140°F) Maintain clean, organized, and sanitized workstations at all times Assist co-workers during peak service times Support setup and breakdown of concession stands Perform general cleaning duties, including dishes, sweeping, and trash removal Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines Ensure proper portion control Physical Demands and Abilities Must be able to stand, walk, stoop, and bend for 4+ hours per shift Must be able to lift 25-50 lbs Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions

Job Qualifications Food Service Experience:

Previous food service or concession experience is helpful but not required

Cash Handling:

Experience handling cash and operating a register/POS system is preferred

Customer Service:

Strong interpersonal skills and ability to engage positively with customers

Teamwork & Efficiency:

Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

Cleanliness & Sanitation:

Commitment to maintaining a clean and safe workspace
