$22.74 to $25.35 in six (6) steps
NOTE:
Candidates must successfully pass a general clerical test, typing test, and accounting test. Ideal candidates will look to pursue progression to a leadership role in Food Service Administration. Preferred qualifications include professional training/coursework toward a food service/dietetics/nutrition director. REQUIREMENTS
High school diploma. Knowledge and competence in the use of computers including word processing, spreadsheets and data base programs; willingness to upgrade skills as necessary. Ability to make accurate computations. Ability to establish and maintain accurate files and records as required. Ability to prepare and submit timely reports. Ability to meet the public and to develop and maintain positive working relationships with vendors, office co-workers, professional and non-professional staff and all units of the school district. Record of excellent, reliable attendance. Exhibit a high degree of initiative. Such other qualifications as may be determined.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
(EXAMPLES ONLY) Process and maintain meal applications in compliance with USDA guidelines. Responsible for sending eligibility letters, negative balance letters, and processing requested refunds from parents. Maintains files of all required USDA and MDE program documentation for each school. Types all school menus and food service correspondence. Review all food service timesheets for accuracy and provide to the payroll department. Ensures that all food service funds are posted to the district accounting software and match deposit records. Complete purchase orders for food, supplies and equipment, develop vendor files, and maintain records. Responsible for maintaining Meal Magic POS System reports, assist with training, and computer sign ins. Receive and place weekly food and supply orders from each kitchen. Contact vendors to resolve complaints on shortages, damaged goods, substandard products, and other discrepancies. Update menus in Meal viewer each month. Maintain professional development records for all food service employees. Have knowledge of health and safety regulations. Responsible for maintaining and updating all kitchen licenses. Contact substitutes to fill vacancies as needed and make sure substitute timesheets are submitted on time. Report/Enter daily department absences to personnel. Manage request for equipment repairs by head or lead cook. Ability to operate a computer and related software to input, output, update, and access a variety of records and information, generate reports, records, lists, and summaries from the computer database. admassistFoodService.26
