upon filled Litchfield Schools is seeking part time help in the Food Service Department! There are currently 3 positions available working from 3.5 - 5.5 hours/day in multiple buildings. Employees would only work on the days students are in the buildings. It's a great fit for stay at home parents, retirees and/or former restaurant staff! All Holidays and weekends off. Starting wage at $18.66 per hour.
Three Available positions:
FOOD SERVICE ASSISTANT
for up to 5.5 hours/day Food Service Assistant
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Preparation of food for daily menus and catering. Set up serving lines and serve food to students, staff, parents and guests. Comply with food and health safety requirements as governed by federal and state laws and regulations Greet and interact with customers in a respectful and prompt manner Operate commercial kitchen and cafeteria equipment, i.e. dishwasher, food processor, mixers, etc.
Clean and sanitize:
work areas, equipment, and counter/table surfaces Daily cleaning of kitchen space to include sweeping and mopping floors Follow proper restocking procedures and monitor expiration dates to ensure the highest quality foods Contribute to the efficient operation of the Food Service Department and the goals of the District Performs other related duties as assigned or requested
QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Food and Sanitation Certifications will be required within the first year of employment High school diploma or G.E.D. required Ability to pass criminal background check
WORKING CONDITIONS
Safety training is provided by School District Medium work: Employee is required to stand, walk, bend, sit, lift and move objects.
