After a season of rebuilding and refining our operations, we're ready to hire a dedicated Store Manager to lead the day-to-day business — a hands-on leadership role for someone who enjoys being on the floor, directing flow, developing people, protecting the guest experience, and keeping a growing hospitality business running with consistency. About the Role The Assistant Store Manager owns the daily rhythm of due. The major systems and structural work are largely in place — now we need a leader who can execute against them, hold accountability, build team confidence, and keep the business moving forward. You protect the standard and nurture the people; you serve first, lead by example, and bring calm and urgency in equal measure during a busy shift. The work is operational at its core: you'll run service, manage labor in real time, control costs, and ensure opening, prep, and closing standards are followed every day — without losing the warmth and care that make due what it is. What You'll Do Lead daily store operations across café, deli, barista, retail, catering, and wholesale touchpoints Work actively on the floor during peak periods — directing flow, positioning the team, and protecting the guest experience Execute and uphold established systems for service, prep, opening, and closing; hold the line on consistency Manage labor flow, shift positioning, breaks, and real-time adjustments during service Own ordering, inventory discipline, waste awareness, and cost controls; partner with the bake and dough teams on par levels and demand Coach, train, and develop hourly team members, shift leads, and keyholders Partner with ownership on recruiting, onboarding, performance accountability, and team development Track and communicate daily through notes, meetings, and operational follow-up Uphold health, safety, and sanitation standards Build a positive, accountable, hospitality-driven culture What We're Looking For 3+ years of restaurant, café, bakery, or QSR management experience, with a track record of running daily operations Proven ability to execute against established systems and hold a team accountable to them Strong floor leadership and comfort directing service during busy periods Hands-on experience managing labor, schedules, inventory, ordering, and cost controls Comfort reading and acting on basic operational and P&L numbers (labor %, food cost, waste) Ability to coach people with warmth, clarity, and accountability — no unnecessary drama A guest-first mindset with high standards for hospitality and quality Strong communication and reliable follow-through Food safety certification (or willingness to earn it) You'll Be a Strong Fit If You Lead from the floor, not only from an office Care about both hospitality and the operational details that make it possible Bring calm, direction, and urgency when a shift gets loud Hold standards consistently and fairly Want to grow with a neighborhood brand building toward a stronger multi-unit future Value scratch food, café culture, and meaningful guest experiences What We Offer Competitive salary of $70,000-$90,000+ based on experience Performance bonus opportunity Health, dental, and vision insurance for eligible full-time employees Paid vacation for eligible full-time employees Employee Assistance Program — mental health, financial planning, legal assistance, and more A supportive ownership team and a business ready for its next stage of operational stability Our Pillars We lead by all three: shadows — what no one sees, everyone feels. hosting — a shared table of discovery. rhythm — move with intention.
