Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Banquet Captain to lead our banquet service team and ensure flawless execution of events. As a key leader in our hospitality operation, you will oversee the setup, service, and breakdown of banquet functions, coordinate with culinary and event staff, and deliver exceptional guest experiences. Your leadership will inspire teamwork, uphold food safety standards, and maintain the highest levels of customer satisfaction. This role offers a dynamic environment where your management skills and culinary knowledge will shine, contributing to memorable events and seamless service delivery. Duties Supervise and lead banquet staff during events, including servers and setup crew Ensure all banquet rooms are properly set according to event specifications (layout, décor, place settings, etc.) Review event orders (BEOs) and communicate details clearly to the team Coordinate timing of food service with kitchen staff to ensure accuracy and quality Greet clients and serve as the main point of contact during events Monitor service to ensure guest satisfaction and promptly resolve any issues Maintain cleanliness and organization of banquet areas before, during, and after events Assist with training and mentoring new banquet staff Enforce company policies, service standards, and safety procedures Oversee breakdown and proper storage of equipment after events Proven experience in food service management within a fast-paced restaurant or hotel environment, particularly with banquet or catering operations Supervising experience with a focus on team management, training & development, and performance evaluation Strong background in food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety protocols in fine dining or casual dining settings Experience with inventory control, budgeting, and food production planning in hospitality settings Demonstrated leadership skills in managing shifts, supervising staff, and ensuring excellent customer service standards Knowledge of catering operations, event coordination, and hospitality management best practices Join us as a Banquet Captain to lead vibrant events that leave lasting impressions!
