Dietary Worker Job Description Join our dynamic team in the food service industry, where you will have the opportunity to work as a utility worker, dishwasher, tray passer, or cook. This role is perfect for individuals who enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and are committed to providing excellent service. Responsibilities Assemble patient trays in a timely and accurate manner, ensuring all items are placed according to patient requests and therapeutic diet orders. Serve cafeteria customers in a timely and courteous manner. Handle cash accurately and operate the cash register proficiently. Prepare food for patients, cafeteria, and special functions. Clean work areas related to the preparation and serving of food. Essential Skills Proficiency in cleaning, mopping, sweeping, and other janitorial duties. Ability to sanitize and handle food safely. Experience in food service, line cooking, dishwashing, and hospitality. Additional Skills & Qualifications Knowledge of proper and safe use of applicable custodial equipment. Willingness to learn and grow. Appropriate maturity of judgment and high standards for work areas and appearance. Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and some holidays. No previous experience required, but the ability to learn and use established techniques is essential. Why Work Here? Work Environment You will work in a hospital setting with a climate-controlled environment that includes a brand new café and an older kitchen. Adherence to the dress code is required, and you will need to comply with background and drug test requirements. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Lake Saint Louis, MO. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $19.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
