Position:
Assistant Banquets & Catering Manager | Northern Hotel The first and only four-star business hotel in the heart of downtown Billings, Montana is seeking an Assistant Catering Manager. This property is looking for an enthusiastic, high-energy individual who would be responsible for the overall success for the Catering department operations. In particular, this individual will be responsible for, but not limited to the following: Train Catering personnel in fine dining and casual service operations, to include: sequence of service, cleanliness, and service standards. Facilitation of communication before, during, and after the event to ensure exceptional service levels are met. Maintain strong customer relationships. Assist with Basic HR functions, such as: hiring, training, supervising, and scheduling. Monitor & schedule work and specific duties to be completed. Monitor performance of all workers. Ensure all staff has knowledge of different services that are offered and rendered. Monitor and assist in implementing performance standards. Monitor all stock items and assist with inventory, as needed. Maintain staff awareness and implementation of certain laws and other legal requirements. Ensure maintenance and cleanliness of all equipment. Maintain high standard of personal presentation, punctuality, personal development, and customer service skills. Provide training in food preparation, service, sanitation, and safety. Monitor food portions, courses, production, time sequence, work station, and equipment arrangements. Resolve customer complaints.
