Catering Assistant

Overview We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Catering Assistant, to help with the preparation, setup, service, and clean-up of catering events. Duties Assist with food preparation, cooking, plating, and presentation to meet quality standards Serve food and beverages efficiently, professionally and courteously to guests during events or service periods Load, unload, and transport catering equipment and supplies Maintain cleanliness and organization of catering areas, including clearing tables and bussing dishes Support setup and breakdown of catering events, including arranging buffet tables, linens, chairs, serving stations, and event decor Ensure compliance with food safety and handling protocols at all times Provide excellent guest services by addressing questions, accommodating special requests, and fostering positive interactions Help manage inventory levels of catering supplies and assist with stock replenishment as needed Qualifications Previous experience in the catering, food industry, or hospitality setting is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is key Culinary experience or knowledge of food preparation techniques is a plus Familiarity with guest services, food handling, serving, and food safety standards enhances your effectiveness in this role Experience working in banquet settings or large-scale catering events is advantageous Strong customer service skills with the ability to build positive guest relations Prior restaurant or hotel experience can provide a solid foundation for success in this position Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments while maintaining attention to detail Must be 18 years or older. Reliable transportation is required. Positive attitude, and strong work ethic. Ability and knowledge of how to pull a 20 ft trailer is a bonus, but not mandatory. Must be able to work nights and weekends.
