In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our guests during the breakfast hours. Your primary focus will be on food preparation, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere. Hours may vary based on hotel occupancy and how busy the breakfast service Responsibilities Prepare and set up the breakfast area with food items, beverages, and utensils. Ensure all food is prepared to standard, presented attractively, and is safe for consumption. Maintain cleanliness of the breakfast area, including tables, counters, and equipment throughout the day. Ensure that food is prepared routinely throughout the shift in order to keep the service area full Assist guests with their breakfast needs, providing excellent customer service. Buss tables promptly to ensure a tidy dining experience for all guests. Inspect the cleanliness and presentation of all utensils prior to use Adhere to all health and safety regulations regarding food preparation and service Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards Speak with others using clear and professional language, and answer telephones using appropriate etiquette Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by the owners or management After breakfast service is completed, you will be required to perform cleanup and prep for the following day. These responsibilities include (but are not limited to): Trash removal from all public areas and the cleanliness of the kitchen and dining area Cleaning public areas, including the public bathrooms You may be required to assist with additional deep-cleaning projects The storage of reusable goods Cleaning all equipment and returning equipment to proper locations Restocking items, turning off lights, locking doors, and completing the daily cleaning checklist. Set up, stock, and maintain work areas. Maintain the cleanliness of your work areas throughout the day (sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, etc) Qualifications Servsafe certification preferred but not required. Previous experience in food service or hospitality is preferred but not required. Skills in food preparation and meal presentation are advantageous. Knowledge of dietary aide practices is a plus. Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanor when interacting with guests. Ability to work efficiently in a team-oriented environment while maintaining high standards of cleanliness. Flexibility to work early morning shifts as required. Follow all company safety and security policies and procedures; report any maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries; complete safety training and certifications. Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional. Support all co-workers and treat them with dignity and respect. Comply with quality assurance expectations and standards. Physical Requirements Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance. Stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time or for an entire work shift. Read and visually verify information in a variety of formats (e. g., small print). Grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of varying size and weight, requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination. Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping. Move over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces and steps. Move up and down stairs and/or service ramps.
