POSITION SUMMARY
At Ma Bahuchar Hospitality's Garner by IHG Hotel, we want to make mornings memorable! We're looking for a Breakfast Attendant who can set the table for our guests so they can start their day off right! In return, we provide you with the right tools and quality products needed to make each dish (and stay) perfect! Our goal is to deliver unique experiences for everyone who visits the hotel while maintaining the best work environment for our team!
KEY JOB FUNCTIONS
Meet and greet hotel guests and answer questions and inquiries. Put away weekly delivery of supplies and rotate stock, notify the manager if supplies are running low. Prepare, stock, and arrange the breakfast bar with various food items, cereals, pastries, and hot food items. Continuously replenish food and beverage supplies throughout the service. Continuously clear and wipe counters and tables throughout the shift. Ensure food is kept at the appropriate temperature and follow food safety guidelines for storage and disposal. Put away food and supplies at the end of the service. Wash dishes and food trays in accordance with established company procedures. Clean waffle irons and microwaves. Clean and refresh coffee station and refill coffee pots prior to leaving. Clean lobby and public areas prior to leaving. Minimize waste by checking with the front desk or manager to understand business demands for the following day, prepare food accordingly. Dispose of trash and wipe down trash cans and receptacles. Break down cardboard boxes and carry them out to the trash/recycling receptacles. Keep an eye for sales leads and submit for follow-up. Each person has the ability to sell and is an essential part of our success. Vacuum and mop dining area and food storage/prep area. Communicate inventory shortages, maintenance issues, or guest complaints to manager or front desk. Assists with covering other shifts or departments as needed. May be required to assist with washing, drying, and folding laundry. We do not allow laundry to roll over to the next business day. Completes other duties as assigned, including completing extra cleanings, cleaning public restrooms, main lobby, fitness center, and laundry areas.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or GED preferred.
REQUIREMENTS
Weekend availability is required. Must be available to work both Saturday and Sunday. Flexibility - while we try to maintain a regular schedule, we work with each other to get things done, this requires working off-shift or covering other shifts as needed. Ability to stand and walk for most of the shift. Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, reach, and crawl on occasion. Must be able to use hands and fingers to feel and handle objects. Must be able to reach, climb, and balance. Must have the ability to see and adjust vision; close, far, and peripheral. Must be able to carry or lift items up to 50 pounds and push or pull objects or furniture up to 400 pounds. Ability to speak, read, and write in English; bilingual or multilingual to include Spanish preferred. Ability to work alone with minimal supervision. Willingness to cross-train for other departments. Ability to work well in stressful, high-pressure environments. Ability to anticipate, prevent, and solve problems proactively.
