Job Description

Job Overview Saco River Family Camping to like to talk to you about our joining our team as a Seasonal Cafe Attendant (Back of the House) and be a vital part of creating memorable guest experiences in this family friendly setting! In this role, you will support the daily operations behind the scenes, ensuring food preparation, cleanliness, and smooth service flow. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your culinary and hospitality skills while working in a campground environment. As a key team member, your energy and attention to detail will help deliver exceptional service that keeps guests coming back for more. Responsibilities include preparing waffles, pizzas, salads, wraps, cinnamon rolls, muffins, and other menu items. This role is also responsible for maintaining food safety and presentation standards, as well as completing opening and closing duties.
AM Shift:
6:30 AM - 1:30
PM PM Shift:
1:00 PM - 8:30 PM Responsibilities Assist in food preparation, including basic cooking, meal assembly, and ingredient handling to support kitchen operations. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards throughout the back of the house area, including food stations, prep areas, and storage spaces. Support front-of-house staff by bussing tables, clearing dishes, and managing waste to ensure a tidy dining environment. Operate POS systems for order processing and cash handling with accuracy. Follow food safety guidelines and proper food handling procedures to uphold health standards. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient kitchen workflow and guest satisfaction during busy periods. Skills Previous kitchen experience or food preparation skills are highly desirable. Familiarity with POS systems that enhances efficiency in order processing. Experience in banquet service, catering, or hotel food service is a plus. Knowledge of cleaning protocols, bussing, and food safety regulations ensures a hygienic environment. Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced setting. Customer service orientation with experience in guest relations or hospitality roles. Basic culinary skills such as knife handling, meat cutting, or coffee brewing are beneficial. Pay:
$14.50 - $15.50 per hour
