THE JOB:
As an Assistant Chef for Conventions and Banquets at The Cosmopolitan, you'll help bring extraordinary events to life by ensuring exceptional food quality, consistency, and presentation across a wide range of memorable gatherings. Working alongside the culinary leadership team, you'll support seamless kitchen operations while upholding the high standards that define The Cosmopolitan's dynamic dining and event experiences. Your passion for culinary excellence and attention to detail help create the impressive, unforgettable moments guests will remember long after the event concludes.
THE DAY-TO-DAY
Maintain quality and proper presentation of food Drive the customer relation management system by ensuring that all such orders are handled correctly Communicate with chefs, management, employees and guest efficiently with proper reporting, and meetings Schedule and maintain the budgeted labor costs as well as potential food cost Understand and utilize Stratton Warren system properly for purchasing, release orders and cost transfers
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
Work varied shifts, to include weekends and holidays required High School Diploma or GED required Must be 21 years of age or older 2+ Years of prior relevant experience in a high-volume setting required Associate's Degree in F&B and/or course certification from an accredited Culinary Institute preferred Prior relevant experience as a Chef in a high volume Conventions and Banquets environment preferred Previous experience managing employees under a collective bargaining agreement preferred
