Monday, Wednesday, and Friday 7:00 AM - 2:00 PM Position Overview The Food Pickup Assistant supports JCEO's food distribution and community services programs by assisting with the collection, transportation, organization, and distribution of donated and purchased food items. This position provides valuable hands-on work experience while helping ensure community members have access to food resources. This position is designed to provide supportive, supervised work experience through the
ACCESS-VR
program while contributing to JCEO's mission of serving the community. Key Responsibilities Assist with picking up food donations from local businesses, agencies, and community partners. Load, unload, sort, and organize food items for distribution. Help maintain cleanliness and organization of food storage areas. Assist staff with preparing food orders for community members and partner agencies. Follow food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures. Provide courteous and professional interactions with staff, volunteers, community members, and donors. Participate in skill-building activities aligned with internship goals. Perform other related duties as assigned. Qualifications Interest in developing workplace and customer service skills. Eligible for
ACCES-VR
services and approved for a paid internship. Reliable attendance, punctuality, and willingness to learn. Ability to follow directions and work independently or as part of a team. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 25 lbs with or without accommodation.
