Full Job Description Hours:
10:00am to 2:00pm

Friday Requirements:
Prepare and serve light lunchtime meal of sandwiches and salad daily. When available, heat, plate and serve donated already prepared food items for the lunchtime meal. Receive and inspect all donated food items for expiration dates or spoilage and remove from inventory as needed. Maintain a list of inventory items needed and report any shortages to the Deputy Director for replenishment. Clean and restore workstation and kitchen prior to leaving daily.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED. Must possess a minimum of 2-3 years of food service or industrial kitchen experience. Must possess or be able to complete Westchester County's Food Service Certification course. Communicate in a polite and professional manner with all guests, volunteers, and fellow staff members. Exceptional time management skills and the ability to work independently in an often fast-paced environment. Ability to remain flexible and adaptive to changing circumstances as it pertains to ingredient availability. Compassion, patience and kindness are necessary to succeed in this position.
