DESCRIPTION OF WORK
This position plays an important role in preparing, serving, and maintaining the food service operations at the Ebensburg Center. The work supports safe meals, clean environments, and smooth daily routines for the facility. As a Food Service Worker 1, you will perform the following duties:
Food Preparation:
Prepare menu items by following recipes, portion guidelines, and kitchen instructions
Meal Assembly:
Assemble trays accurately by using tray tags, portion tools, and menu details
Equipment Use:
Operate kitchen equipment safely to support food preparation and service tasks
Sanitation Work:
Clean and sanitize food service areas, equipment, dishware, and work spaces according to procedures
Stocking Duties:
Move, store, and organize food items and supplies in kitchens, coolers, freezers, and storage areas
Team Support:
Assist coworkers by helping with food preparation, delivery tasks, and supply distribution Interested in learning more? Additional details regarding this position can be found in the position description.
Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Full-time employment Work hours are 10:30 AM to 7:00 PM, 30-minute lunch, with rotating days off.
Telework:
You will not have the option to telework in this position.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS
Additional Requirements:
You must be able to perform essential job functions. Preferred Qualifications (not required): Previous food service worker experience in an institutional setting such as hospital or nursing home.
