As a Pantry Assistant, you support kitchen operations by managing food ordering, inventory control, and storage practices to ensure quality, cost efficiency, and regulatory compliance.
What You'll Do:
- Assist with ordering, receiving, and storing food products
- Maintain proper inventory levels and support food cost control
- Follow approved vendor and purchasing guidelines
- Monitor food quality and freshness; return poor-quality items
- Ensure proper storage, labeling, and FIFO rotation
- Maintain HACCP records and temperature logs
- Review invoices and ensure deliveries are documented accurately
- Support food safety, sanitation, and OSHA compliance You play a key role in food quality, inventory accuracy, and kitchen efficiency, helping ensure residents receive safe, consistent meals.
