Food Services Worker- Job Description
- We are seeking a dependable Trayline Attendant to join our Food & Nutrition team and support patient meal service. This role is essential in delivering safe, accurate, and compassionate care by ensuring patients receive the meals they need, exactly as ordered.
- Responsibilities
- + Assemble patient meal trays according to diet orders, allergies, and portion standards.
+ Deliver and retrieve trays from patient units with accuracy and professionalism. + Follow dietary guidelines including diabetic, cardiac, texture-modified, and allergy-specific diets. + Maintain a clean, sanitary trayline and work area throughout the shift. + Restock food items and supplies to keep the trayline running smoothly. + Assist in the dishroom with washing, sorting, and organizing equipment. + Provide excellent service to patients, nurses, and clinical staff.
- Essential Skills
- + Strong attention to detail—accuracy is essential for patient safety. + Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and stay organized. + Reliability, teamwork, and a positive attitude. + Comfort with standing, bending, and lifting throughout the shift.
- Additional Skills & Qualifications
- + Previous food service or healthcare experience is helpful but not required.

- Work Environment
- Work in the Women's & Babies hospital, covering 1st and 2nd shifts from 5 am to 8 pm. Employees receive two days off each week and must be comfortable working every other weekend. The facility provides a supportive environment for delivering high-quality patient care.

- Pay and Benefits
- The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your jobclassification and length of employment.
