Grade IV Cafeteria Helper

The essential functions of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Perform all food preparation duties as assigned for breakfast and/or lunch
• Daily cleaning of all kitchen, dining, and storage areas
• Serve food at proper temperatures and directives
• Maintain accurate records (production, food temperature charts, etc.) as required
• Adhere to all policies of the district and the contracted food service management company including serving guidelines, sanitation, safety, health regulations and dress codes
• Report production and serving concerns to the Food Service Director, Cafeteria Manager, and/or appointed agent
• Help with food preparation, cleanup, storage, etc.
• Perform cashier duties
• Prepare menu as directed and ensure correct utensils are used for serving to ensure correct portions are being served
• Adhere to use of personal protective equipment as supplied by the contracted food service management company
• Complete all daily production sheets
• Present a positive image of oneself and the district
• Display food items to customers in an attractive manner
• Work effectively and efficiently with little or no food waste
• Treat all customers and co-workers in a professional and friendly manner
• Communicate openly in a positive manner and work as a team member to maintain a good working atmosphere
• Other duties as assigned by the contracted food service management company, Director of Business Services or designee appointed by the

Superintendent Pay:

$14.35 per hour
