Job Description Breakfast Attendant Summary Statement The Breakfast Attendant is responsible for preparing and serving the daily complimentary breakfast for the hotel guests. Primary Duties • Provide personalized service to all guests. Take inventory of food, beverages and supplies needed for each day. Assisting in creating the orders for the food, beverages and supplies. Stocking coffee and juice machines. Setting out / arranging cold food, such as sweet rolls, muffins and cereal. Be cordial to and exhibit respect for all team members. Clearing and cleaning of tables as they are vacated. Removing trash. Restocking self-service food and supplies as needed. Washing serving equipment and returning it to storage. Returning reusable food supplies to storage. Properly stores food adhering to all health codes. Rotates inventory, dates food during the stocking process to ensure first in first out. Learn and completely adhere to all brand standards. Attend department/staff meetings and training as required/scheduled. Maintain a good attendance and punctuality record. Perform all other duties as directed by immediate supervisor. Perform other department-related duties and/or assist in other departments as prescribed by manager. Knowledge and Skills Required At least two years' past experience in dealing directly with the public and excellent customer-service skills. High school-graduation-level mathematical aptitude and knowledge of standard exchange of currency. Demonstrated ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment. Ability to read and write in English and communicate clearly with guests and fellow team members. The ability to speak a second language is an asset. Ability to understand and follow verbal/written instructions. Demonstrated organizational and detail-orientation skills. Ability to work a flexible schedule, including first and second shifts with availability all days of the week including holidays and weekends
