The right individuals will be motivated to wake up early and be a shining ray of light to greet our guests as they come down for the most important meal of the day! Essential Duties/Responsibilities Be attentive to guest's needs in order to create the best experience Prepare food and beverages for service to guests, presenting food according to IHG, OSHA and SCDHEC health and presentation standards Follow all hotel safety protocols and procedures. Report any safety/service incidents to supervisor on duty Ensure that all breakfast stations are clean and maintained throughout shift Clear and clean tables, chairs, walls, and floors in a prompt and efficient manner Perform department/outlet opening or closing duties as required Take action to solve guest problems/complaints and use established guidelines for any service recovery to ensure guest satisfaction Work as team and communicate and co-ordinate with other departments to ensure excellent quality and service May assist with other duties as assigned Willing to cross train into other departments for career growth Knowledge, Experience, and Abilities Basic reading and writing Basic math skills Food service experience preferred but not required Customer service skills, passionate about people and service Carrying or lifting items weighting up to 50 pounds Handling food objects; plates, trays, glasses, etc. Bending, stooping, kneeling Communication skills are used frequently when interacting with guests, and supervisor. Have the ability to work a flexible schedule including early mornings, weekends and/or holidays
