Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY
Perform routine food service tasks in kitchen, cafeteria, and dish room. Assist the shift supervisor in seeing that all sanitation tasks are completed on a daily basis to insure good consistent service to all customers from a clean and sanitary kitchen facility.
POSITION SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Food and Nutrition Service Supervisor, Dietitian and Food and Nutrition Service Director.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Minimum Education None Minimum Work Experience No prior training or experience. Required Licenses/Certifications None Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities Is able to communicate and respond using the English language. On the job training is usually a few days. GED PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Will be required to walk and stand continually throughout the day. Hearing, speaking, seeing, bending, reaching and pushing food cart. May periodically lift objects weighing up to 50 lbs. Uniform and comfortable shoes required. May perform routine repetitive tasks. May be exposed to freezer where temperatures are below zero degrees. Most work is inside where area may be warm and humid.

JOB SPECIFIC FUNCTIONS
Demonstrates an understanding of and adherence to the HMHD Compliance Plan. Conduct reflects HMHD's values and a commitment to HMHD's Code of Conduct. Attends the required corporate integrity and compliance training and education programs. Demonstrates proficiency in understanding the materials presented during the corporate integrity and compliance training and education program. Complies with all HIPAA standards. Adhere to job schedule for position. Set up and break down patient tray line for each meal. May stock and dismantle condiment and cereal area, replenish paper and china. Work in dish room stripping and scrapping. Take temperature of dish machine during all meals. Work patient tray line. Assist delivering late trays as needed. Check silverware for cleanliness, sort after run through dishwasher and then run through again. Clean and sanitize carts and store for lunch and dinner. May carry out trash and mop floor. Keep both sides of dish room cleaned and dishes stacked according to diagram. Clean dish machine and polish daily. Use Lime-A-Way through dish machine once a week. Wash pots and pans, change water often. Follow department safety and sanitation procedures daily routines. Help other workers get their work done by meal times. Log dish machine temperature at each meal daily. May clean tables, counters, and various types of kitchen equipment, which may include: steam tables. May assist with Special Functions. Make sure all your areas of responsibility are clean before clocking out. Check cleaning schedule for assignment. Comply with all rules in employee handbook and check schedule and bulletin board for notices and changes. Perform any task asked of you by your supervisor.
