This position is best suited for someone who is professional with guests, works with urgency, and understands that strong table service depends on strong execution throughout the dining room. Some shifts are tipped service shifts working directly with guests. Other shifts are non-tipped support shifts focused on side work, cleanliness, stocking, readiness, and service flow. We are a family-style Chinese restaurant in San Antonio built on teamwork, professionalism, speed, and high standards.

In person Pay Structure This role rotates between two shift types based on business needs: 1) Tipped Table Service Shifts $6.00/hour + tips You may take tables and earn tips when scheduled in this role 2) Non-Tipped Front-of-House Support Shifts $8.00/hour These shifts do not include taking tables or earning tips Focus is on side work, operational support, dining room readiness, cleanliness, stocking, and support production Your shift designation will be determined before the shift. Required Certifications Current TABC certification Current Food Handler certification ResponsibilitiesA) Table Service Responsibilities When scheduled in a tipped service role, responsibilities may include: Providing warm, attentive, professional service to guests Taking orders accurately in the POS and clearly communicating allergies or modifications Running food and drinks with urgency Maintaining clean and organized tables, stations, and service areas Bussing tables as needed and helping reset the floor quickly Handling guest concerns professionally and escalating issues when needed Explaining menu items clearly, including ingredients and dietary considerations B) Front-of-House Support Responsibilities When scheduled in a non-tipped support role, responsibilities may include: Cutting green beans Folding wontons Preparing plasticware rolls Filling hot oil-to-go cups Folding napkins and completing support prep Restocking supplies Cleaning and maintaining dining room readiness Supporting front-of-house flow as directed Core Expectations These are non-negotiable: Arrive on time and ready to work Complete pre-shift expectations as assigned Check in with the Team Captain and begin work immediately No phone distractions during the shift except for approved business use Work with urgency and take initiative when something needs to be done Use "full hands out / full hands in" whenever moving between dining room and kitchen Complete side work and closing duties fully before clocking out when required Who We're Looking For We are looking for someone who is: Guest-focused and professional Fast, accurate, and dependable Team-oriented and willing to support the full operation Calm under pressure Coachable and accountable Reliable with strong follow-through Interested in long-term growth Less experienced candidates are welcome if they are willing to train hard, move quickly, and meet standards.
