WHS was organized by a cooperative agreement between the Weber and Morgan County governments to serve as a local authority for provision of their substance abuse, mental health and senior (Aging) services. We provide opportunities and support for the senior citizens of Weber and Morgan Counties to increase their quality of life and extend their independence. Our programs are delivered with sensitivity to the frail elderly and those who have the greatest social and economic needs. Weber Human Services creates hope and opportunities that enable all clients and staff to: do the work necessary to become their best self and find joy through people, place and purpose. We are looking for a highly motivated individual that will work primarily in the dish room. The position will include operating the dish washing machine, hand washing, scrubbing and sanitizing pots, pans and serving trays. Scrubbing carts, racks and various other types of commercial kitchen equipment. Sweeping, mopping floors, taking out trash to the dumpster and additional cleaning as needed and asked. You will support the Nutrition Kitchen and will work with some of the best people in the world that make it their goal to give back to the community. This position requires you to have a valid Food Handler's Permit from the local health department. If you do not have this, we can help you get it! You must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, have good hygiene and follow all safety and sanitation guidelines. You will also need to complete your work in a timely manner and be able to work independently. This individual will work primarily in the dish room. This position will include operating the dishwashing machine, hand washing, scrubbing and sanitizing pots, pans, and serving trays. Responsibilities include scrubbing carts, racks, and various other types of commercial kitchen equipment, sweeping and mopping floors, taking out trash to the dumpster, and general cleaning. May be assigned to assist cooks as needed. Works in an institutional kitchen environment. Exposure to hot cooking surfaces and extreme temperature changes. Exposure to sharp objects and electrical equipment. Possible contact with infectious diseases. May handle potentially hazardous cleaning supplies. Constantly on feet throughout the workday. Pushes medium to large carts with pans of food products. Moderate to heavy lifting and handling of hot food products. Must be able to safely lift 50 pounds. Hours are 730 AM-1230 PM Must be able to follow verbal and written instructions. Must be able to work independently in a timely and efficient manner. Must have a valid Food Handler Permit from the local health department. Must maintain clean and professional personal hygiene habits. Must follow all safety and sanitation guidelines.
