QUALIFICATIONS

Cafeteria Manager

JOB GOAL

To serve the students attractive and nutritious meals in an atmosphere of efficiency, cleanliness and friendliness.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES

Assist in the preparation of food portions, prepare cafeteria counter and serve food in a quick and pleasant manner. Serve students and staff from the cafeteria counter. Remove used dishes and assist in the cleaning of counters, tables and furnishings in the dining area. Maintain the trash/garbage collection area in a neat and sanitary fashion. Perform related duties during contract hours as required including duties at special meal functions. Maintain highest standards of safety and cleanliness in the kitchen. Prepare food according to the planned menu. See that, during meal service periods, the supply of food offered is replenished regularly. Assist in the daily clean-up of the kitchen and service areas. Perform major cleaning of refrigerators and storerooms at regularly scheduled intervals as designated by the cafeteria manager. Assume responsibility for storage and disposal of unused foods. Serve each menu item with the correct utensil. Take food temperatures (on the serving line) to ensure food safety. Serve as cashier when needed. Be open and flexible to accept change in daily routine and special needs in the cafeteria.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT

Salary and work year established by School Board.

EVALUATION

Performance of this job will be evaluated annually in accordance with provisions of the School Boar's policy on Evaluation of Non-Professional Personnel.
