Job Description

Summer Food Program Assistant Seasonal Position:
July 7 - August 6
Schedule:
Tuesday-Thursday, 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM No Experience Required Position Summary The Summer Food Program Assistant helps prepare and organize food bags for community distribution. This position requires attention to detail, the ability to follow instructions, and a commitment to maintaining food safety and sanitation standards. Training will be provided. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Fill and pack food bags according to program guidelines. Sort and separate food items into appropriate food groups. Organize supplies and prepare food for distribution. Follow written and verbal instructions to ensure accuracy and consistency. Maintain a clean, sanitary, and safe work environment. Assist with inventory organization and storage. Work cooperatively with team members to ensure efficient distribution. Adhere to all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds. Ability to bend, reach, and perform repetitive tasks. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Qualifications No experience required; training provided. Reliable and punctual. Ability to follow directions and work independently or as part of a team. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Commitment to maintaining cleanliness and food safety standards.
