Glenwood City School District is seeking a reliable and motivated Food Service Worker to join our Nutrition Services team. This position prepares and serves nutritious meals to students in a safe, clean, and welcoming environment. If you enjoy working in a team-oriented atmosphere and supporting student health and wellness, we'd love to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the preparation and serving of lunch meals according to daily menus
  • Maintain accurate food production records and logs
  • Operate kitchen tools and appliances safely and efficiently
  • Assist with food ordering and inventory
  • Maintain cleanliness of kitchen, equipment, and service areas
  • Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines
  • Provide friendly, respectful customer service to students and staff
  • Follow school district policies and procedures
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Previous food service experience is helpful but not required—on-the-job training provided
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and stand for extended periods
  • Strong communication skills and a positive attitude
  • Must pass a background check per district requirements
Work Schedule:
  • Monday through Friday
  • 5.5 hours per day, on student scheduled days
  • Follows the Glenwood City School District calendar
