Postion Purpose:
We are looking for a memorable Meat Team Member who has a passion for food. Our Meat Team Member will execute day-to-day operations in our Meat and Seafood departments and provide a memorable experience to all our customers. A Meat Team Member is a responsible team player and always ready to learn. A Meat Team Member has a keen eye for Food Safety and Sanitation and will be able to help in stocking, production, and merchandising while offering unmatched customer service.

A Meat Team Member is a responsible, friendly person who can safely work in a fast-paced environment and provide excellent customer service.
A Meat Team Member's responsibilities include:
Maintaining a positive and friendly attitude towards customers and fellow team members.
Engaging with customers through smiles and greetings, offering product information, providing selling suggestions and active sampling and always giving a genuine thank you.
Ordering, cutting, grinding, slicing, weighing, wrapping and labeling according to quality, quantity, product freshness and food safety and sanitation standards.
Through proper handling, cutting, trimming and wrapping techniques, controls product shrinks and inventory expenses.
Selling products by providing customers with excellent and helpful product information.
Properly using the meat department tools and equipment including knives, saws, wrapping machine, tenderizer, patty maker, grinder, while meeting meat department safety standards.
Understanding the importance of correctly using and monitoring product pricing, signage, and placement.
Keeping a clean, neat and orderly, and well-stocked meat counter, work areas, meat service cases and self-service cases.

Slicing, weighing and merchandising of prepared deli meats and cheeses.
Displaying goods following deli department and/or merchandising guidelines.
Taking customer orders, ensuring orders arepleted on time and to the customer's satisfaction.

The Meat Team Member responsibilities will primarily be in the Meat department but may also work in other departments as needed.
Qualifications:
Desired qualifications include:
Friendly and customer service oriented. Interest in food and cooking a plus.
Customer service, restaurant, barista, food service, grocery or similar experience desired
Self-motivated, with a high attention to detail, quality and presentation
Skills tomunicate effectively with coworkers and customers
Ability to work independently, effectively manage time and multitask in a fast-paced environment
Ability to read, understand and follow through on verbal and written directions
Ability to reliably meet required work schedule and ad topany attendance policy
Must be 18 years of age
