In this energetic role, you will be responsible for preparing, packaging, and maintaining fresh meat selections while ensuring food safety standards are met. Duties Assist customers by providing knowledgeable guidance on meat selections, cuts, and preparation tips Prepare and portion meat products according to company standards, utilizing proper knife skills and cutting techniques Package meat products securely for retail display or take-home use, ensuring freshness and presentation quality Maintain cleanliness and organization of the meat department, adhering to strict food safety and sanitation protocols Monitor inventory levels, restock displays, and rotate stock to minimize waste and ensure product freshness Follow all food handling regulations to prevent contamination and ensure compliance with health standards Support food production tasks such as trimming, grinding, or marinating meats as needed to meet customer preferences Skills Proven experience in food production, preparation, or a culinary setting, preferably within the food industry or restaurant environment Strong knife skills and expertise in meat cutting techniques for various cuts of meat Knowledge of food safety practices and proper handling procedures to maintain hygiene standards Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively and assist shoppers confidently Experience with packaging meats efficiently while maintaining quality standards Familiarity with kitchen operations, including food preparation and sanitation procedures Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and safety protocols Embark on a rewarding career where your culinary talents can shine!
