Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a motivated Butcher for a direct hire opportunity in Miami, FL. This role is ideal for someone with 1-2 years of experience who enjoys both hands-on meat preparation and customer interaction in a retail food environment. This Butcher position offers the opportunity to learn from a highly skilled butcher while building valuable trade skills in cutting, trimming, preparing, and presenting quality meats. You will work directly with customers, help them choose the right cuts, and gain practical knowledge of meat quality, cooking styles, preparation techniques, and retail butcher counter operations. This is a great opportunity for someone who takes pride in craftsmanship, enjoys working with people, and wants to grow in a stable food and beverage production environment with supportive leadership, hands-on training, and a team-focused atmosphere. Key Responsibilities
  • Cut, trim, bone, tie, grind, wrap, weigh, label, and price meat products including beef, pork, poultry, fish, and specialty cuts.
  • Assist customers at the counter by explaining cuts of meat, recommending products, and promoting items based on customer needs.
  • Prepare attractive meat displays and ensure products are presented in a clean, fresh, and appealing manner.
  • Receive, inspect, store, and track meat inventory to support quality standards and maintain adequate supply levels.
  • Prepare special customer orders, including roasts, tied cuts, cured items, smoked meats, tenderized products, and preserved meats.
  • Process retail sales transactions, total purchases, and collect payment from customers. Compensation and Benefits
  • Salary range: $35,500 to $52,000 per year.
