At Delaware Chicken Farm, you'll become part of a tight-knit staff, working together to serve customers and keep our store running smoothly. As a small, family-owned business, we take pride in fostering close relationships amongst our staff and with our community. Our sales staff work behind the counter to pack and cut meats for customers as they order. Experience as a butcher or poultry processor is preferred, but not required. Must be able to work weekends and holidays. Applicants must be 18 years of age or older. Applicants under the age of 18 will be automatically rejected. Currently seeking full-time employees only . Our business closes at 6:00 PM , so late-night shifts are not available. Employment is dependent upon passing a background check and drug test. Duties Greet customers and provide knowledgeable assistance regarding our products Prepare food items according to safety standards and quality guidelines, including basic food preparation and packaging Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sales area, including food displays and storage spaces Handle food safely by following proper hygiene procedures and adhering to food safety regulations Occasionally support kitchen operations by cutting meat and poultry Ensure proper labeling and pricing of all food products Skills Experience in food production, preparation, or handling within a food industry or restaurant setting Strong customer service skills Knowledge of food safety standards and proper hygiene practices Knife skills, meat cutting, and basic knife safety Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Familiarity with packaging processes and maintaining cleanliness standards in food handling areas
