Overview Join our dynamic team as a Meat Slicer and become a vital part of our food service operation! In this role, you'll be responsible for expertly slicing and preparing high-quality meats to ensure freshness, precision, and presentation meet our standards. Your culinary skills and attention to safety will help deliver exceptional products to our customers, whether in a retail setting, restaurant, or catering environment. This position offers an energetic work atmosphere where your food industry experience can shine and grow. Responsibilities Operate meat slicing equipment with precision, ensuring consistent thickness and quality of sliced meats. Follow strict safety standards in production to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and colleagues. Handle meat products with proper food handling techniques, adhering to food safety management protocols. Assist in meal preparation, including portioning, packaging, and presentation of sliced meats for various service settings. Support menu planning by providing insights on meat cuts and slicing techniques to enhance dish offerings. Maintain cleanliness of the work area and equipment, ensuring compliance with safety standards in food production. Collaborate with kitchen staff or dietary teams to meet specific dietary needs and meal specifications. Experience Previous experience in a food industry setting such as restaurant, catering, or food service is highly preferred. Dietary department or dietary aide experience is a plus, demonstrating familiarity with food handling and safety protocols. Strong knife skills and slicing technique expertise are essential for delivering precise cuts efficiently. Knowledge of food safety standards in production environments ensures compliance with health regulations. Experience in menu planning, food preparation, cooking, or culinary roles will support your success in this position. Familiarity with kitchen operations, food handling procedures, and safety standards enhances your ability to excel here.
