Butcher A Meat Department Assistant supports the daily operations of the meat department by helping with product preparation, stocking, customer service, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment. The role includes handling and packaging meat products, rotating inventory, and ensuring all items meet quality and safety standards. Key Responsibilities Preparing and packaging meat products : assist with cutting, trimming, wrapping, and labeling items. Stocking and rotating inventory : refill displays, check temperatures, and remove expired or damaged products. Maintaining cleanliness : sanitize equipment, counters, and work areas following food-safety guidelines. Assisting customers : provide friendly service, answer product questions, and help locate items. Receiving and organizing deliveries : unload meat shipments and store products properly. Following safety and sanitation standards : comply with hygiene rules, temperature control, and store policies.
