Monday-Friday Mid-May through December 2026: 40-50 hours per week March through early May 2027: 20-30 hours per week

Job Overview:

This position is based near Newhall, Iowa. The posting is being advertised in Waterloo, IA for recruiting purposes and to reach candidates open to relocation or daily transportation within the area. Our recruiting team is currently hiring Butchers / Meat Cutters for a full-time meat processing operation. This position involves animal harvesting, meat cutting, carcass preparation, and maintaining safe and sanitary processing conditions.

Responsibilities:

Humane harvesting and processing of livestock Skinning, cutting, and preparing carcasses Meat cutting and trimming Maintain knives, saws, grinders, and processing equipment Maintain sanitary and safe work areas Follow animal handling and safety procedures Work with different types of livestock and meat products

Requirements:

Minimum 6 months of experience in butcher work, farms, livestock handling, or meat processing Knowledge of safe animal handling and humane harvesting procedures Ability to sharpen butcher knives and maintain tools Ability to lift at least 50 lbs Ability to work in physically demanding environments Ability to work around livestock and farm equipment

Pay:

From $19.00 per hour
