Job Overview We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Butcher/Butchers Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will be essential in preparing, cutting, and packaging meat products while ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality. If you have a passion for food handling, culinary skills, and working with meat products in a friendly environment, this position is perfect for you. Duties Assist with meat cutting, trimming, and portioning using proper knife skills and techniques. Support food preparation tasks such as grinding, sausage making, and other processing activities. Help with packaging meat products accurately for retail or wholesale distribution. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas, tools, and equipment following food safety standards. Handle customer service tasks by providing information about products and assisting with special requests. Follow all food safety protocols to ensure high-quality products and safe handling practices. Support inventory management by tracking supplies and reporting shortages or issues. Qualifications Previous experience in food production, meat cutting, or kitchen environments is preferred but not required. Strong knife skills and knowledge of meat cutting techniques. Familiarity with food handling safety standards and sanitation procedures. Experience in food preparation or culinary settings is a plus. Excellent attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Good communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and customers. A positive attitude with a willingness to learn about the food industry and processing methods. Pay:
$18.00 - $27.00 per hour
