We are committed to continuing this tradition in our high-volume store and are looking for a professional, service-oriented Produce Manager to join our team.
Position Summary:
The Produce Manager will manage the daily operations of the produce department. This position must utilize their leadership and merchandising skills to manage product levels and make sound business decisions. Additionally, the Produce Manager is responsible for increasing customer confidence and loyalty by promoting and executing consistent operating conditions, providing fresh and appealing products, offering courteous, knowledgeable, and prompt service, and maintaining a friendly atmosphere in the department.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee daily operations of the produce department. Ensure the department is merchandised in accordance with the preferences of the community; maintain shelf allocations to ensure product availability at all times. Manage inventory levels and ensure product availability. Utilize leadership and merchandising skills to optimize product placement and presentation. Make sound business decisions to enhance department performance. Promote and ensure consistent operating conditions and standards. Provide fresh, appealing, and high-quality produce. Deliver courteous, knowledgeable, and prompt service to customers. Foster a friendly and welcoming atmosphere in the department. Train, supervise, and evaluate produce department staff. Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures.
