Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Butcher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in food production, meat cutting, and food handling, ensuring high-quality products and exceptional customer service. This role involves preparing, cutting, and packaging meat products in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to food safety standards and industry regulations. The Butcher will play a vital role in maintaining the quality and presentation of our meat offerings while supporting overall kitchen operations. Responsibilities Cut, trim, and prepare various types of meats according to specified standards and customer preferences Package meat products securely for retail display or custom distribution Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of all tools, equipment, and work areas in compliance with food safety regulations Assist with inventory management, including stock rotation and ordering supplies as needed Ensure all meat products are stored at proper temperatures and handled with care to prevent contamination Provide excellent customer service by answering questions about products and offering recommendations when needed Follow all safety procedures related to knife handling and food safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment Requirements Proven experience in food preparation, meat cutting, or related culinary roles within the food industry or restaurant environment Strong knife skills with the ability to efficiently cut, trim, and prepare different types of meat products Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling techniques Experience with packaging meat products for retail or wholesale purposes Excellent attention to detail to ensure quality and presentation standards are met Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety Prior kitchen or culinary experience is preferred but not mandatory; willingness to learn on the job is essential This position offers an opportunity to develop skills within the food industry while contributing to a team dedicated to quality and customer satisfaction.
