DESCRIPTION
The Mercato is looking for a full-time Butcher/Meat Cutter to be a part of our team. This position will be responsible for cutting and trimming beef, setting up the meat case, and helping customers. This position will also be responsible for selling and educating customers on our Certified Piedmontese beef, other high-quality proteins, and a variety of spices, cheese, baked goods, etc. An ideal candidate would have good working knowledge of food safety, be proficient with knives. A background in culinary or food preparation is helpful, some experience in customer service preferred. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who has a passion for food and working with high quality proteins. Evening and weekend hours required. Assume other duties as assigned. Applicants must be 19 years of age or older.
