Job Description

THE OPPORTUNITY

We are staffing Meat Cutters for a well-established, family-run deli meat processing facility in West Caldwell, NJ. This is a full-time, direct-placement opportunity with a company that has been producing premium quality deli meats for nearly 50 years.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Cut, trim, and prepare ham, pork, and deli meat products to facility and customer specifications Operate band saws, slicers, grinders, and hand tools safely and efficiently Maintain cold chain integrity and proper product handling at all times Follow HACCP, GMP, and SSOP protocols without exception Inspect incoming product and flag quality issues to supervision Keep your work area clean, organized, and compliant with sanitation standards Work as part of a close-knit production team and support fellow crew members
WHAT YOU BRING
Minimum 1 year of experience as a meat cutter, butcher, or deli meat processor Proficiency with cutting tools including knives, band saws, and slicers Working knowledge of food safety standards (HACCP, GMP, SSOP) Ability to work comfortably in cold environments (34 to 40 degrees Fahrenheit) Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for the duration of your shift Reliability, accountability, and a strong work ethic Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus in this environment
COMPENSATION AND SCHEDULE
Pay:
$17.00 to $23.00 per hour based on experience
Shifts:
1st and 2nd shift openings available, Monday through Friday Full-time, consistent hours with overtime opportunities
