Job Overview - Apprentice Meat Cutter/Cleaner We are seeking a dependable and motivated Apprentice Meat Cutter/Cleaner to join our team. This role is essential to ensuring our meat department operates efficiently, remains fully stocked with fresh products, and maintains the highest standards of cleanliness and food safety. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, efficient, and capable of performing a variety of tasks in a fast-paced environment. As an Apprentice Meat Cutter/Cleaner, you will be responsible for wrapping and scaling cut meats, stocking freshly prepared meats into the showcase, assisting with cutting chicken and pork products as needed, and thoroughly breaking down and cleaning the meat room daily. Your efforts will support overall department operations and enhance the quality of products offered to our customers. Responsibilities Wrap, label, and scale cut meats(Chicken/Pork) accurately and efficiently Stock freshly prepared meat products into showcases with attention to rotation and presentation Assist with cutting and preparing chicken and pork products as needed Maintain strict adherence to food safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards throughout all tasks Break down, clean, and sanitize the meat room, equipment, and tools at the end of each day Monitor product levels and ensure timely restocking to support continuous product availability Collaborate with team members to achieve daily production goals and maintain a clean, safe work environment Communicate product quality or inventory concerns promptly to department management Qualifications Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining food safety standards Dependable, self-motivated, and capable of working independently or as part of a team Ability to efficiently manage time, multitask, and work in a physically demanding environment Previous experience in meat cutting, food service, or retail is preferred but not required; training will be provided Physically able to stand for extended periods and lift moderate to heavy items (up to 60 lbs) Comfortable working in a refrigerated environment Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays, as needed Join our team as an Apprentice Meat Cutter/Cleaner and help us deliver fresh, high-quality meat products in a clean and welcoming environment!
