Butcher/Meat Cutter

Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and experienced Meat Cutter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in food production and preparation, with a strong focus on meat cutting and food safety. As a Meat Cutter, you will be responsible for ensuring high-quality meat products are prepared, packaged, and presented to our customers while adhering to all safety and hygiene standards. Duties Cut, trim, and prepare various types of meat according to specifications. Ensure proper handling and storage of meat products to maintain freshness and quality. Package meat products for display and sale, ensuring attractive presentation. Maintain cleanliness and organization in the meat preparation area. Follow food safety guidelines and regulations to prevent contamination. Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages. Collaborate with kitchen staff to fulfill specific meat-related requests for food preparation. Provide excellent customer service by answering questions regarding meat cuts and preparation methods. Requirements Proven experience in the food industry, particularly in meat cutting or culinary roles. Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations. Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality control. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Familiarity with kitchen equipment and tools used in meat preparation. Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team. Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift heavy items as needed.
