Job Description
Nestled in the scenic Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania, Woodloch Resort encompasses an award-winning family resort (Woodloch Pines), championship golf course (Woodloch Springs) and a luxury destination spa (The Lodge at Woodloch). Staff members are no exception to this rule. Job Summary The Main Kitchen's Assistant Front Area Supervisor oversees the culinary operations of the out front team including, daily prep work for all three meals in addition to meal service. The Main Kitchen serves three meals per day with counts varying from 250 to 600 guests per meal. This area Is directly involved with all fruit, breakfast cake, cereals, etc. for breakfast service. Lunches, this area covers soup, salads and desserts. This is the same for dinners in addition to appetizers. The Front Area Supervisor directs/manages a team of 3-4 daily. There are specific recipes and timelines that need to be satisfied. Food safety and cleanliness are also an important responsibility of this position. Duties & Responsibilities Oversee the consistency of various preparations with the out front area to ensure quality & adhere to standards. Establishes and maintains daily prep sheets according to current menu and guest counts Keep all refrigeration, equipment, storage and walk-in in clean working condition to comply with health department regulations. Checks & controls proper storage of product - labeling/dating, rotation & organization. Effective daily communication with out front team reviewing daily expectations and production goals Daily, open communication with Kitchen Managers & Dining Room Managers Contribute input and ideas to Kitchen Manager & Dining Room Managers regarding menus, product & staff Requires a higher level of communication, leadership & conflict resolution skills to cope with daily topics/issues as they arise.
