Meat Cutter III Souderton, PA 1 DAYS AGO 22487262 Summary Souderton, PA In-Person Competitive Salary 2 Years Experience High school graduate or equivalency certificate (GED) No Commission 40.00 hours per week / Day Shift / Full-Time Description The Meat Cutter III is an advanced role responsible for performing complex cutting and boning tasks with a high degree of accuracy and speed. May act as a trainer for less experienced staff. This role requires performing repetitive tasks, strong knife skills, knowledge of pork cuts, and the ability to meet yield and quality standards in a safe & efficient manner.
Responsibilities:
  • Execute expert-level deboning, trimming, and precision cutting of pork carcasses.
  • Train and mentor new or junior cutters.
  • Ensure production meets or exceeds efficiency and quality standards.
  • Monitor and adjust for yield improvements.
  • Perform basic troubleshooting of cutting equipment.
  • Use hand tools and powered equipment (saws, skinners, etc.) safely and efficiently.
  • Operate or work near automated machinery under supervision.
  • Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety protocols.
  • Maintain clean and sanitized work area.
  • Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications and Requirements:
Qualifications:
  • Ability to work in a production environment with fluorescent lights and climate variation.
  • Ability to make 8-10 cuts per minute.
  • 3+ years of pork meat cutting experience in a processing plant.
  • Demonstrated expertise in all primal and sub-primal pork cuts.
  • Ability to train others and give constructive feedback.
  • Ability to take direction and work with others as part of a team.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. frequently, up to 50 lbs. occasionally.
  • Flexibility to changing duties, rotations and product requirements.
  • Good communications skills.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive motions.
  • Proficient with knives and cutting tools.
  • Understand yield optimization and cut specs.
  • Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity.
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision.

  • Perform repetitive physical motions including cutting, pulling, pushing, and twisting.
  • Near acuity (clarity of vision at 20 inches or less)
