Job Description

Join our team as a Poker Dealer! Step into the spotlight where skill, precision, and personality come together at every table. As a Poker Dealer , you are at the heart of the gaming experience—driving the energy of the room, ensuring fair play, and creating unforgettable moments for every guest.
Job Purpose:
Deals poker games, collects house drop, and maintains impress bank
Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Duties and responsibilities may be added, deleted, or changed at the sole discretion of Sycuan Management at any time) Maximizes Poker game revenue by distributing cards, facilitating wagers, performing cash and chip transactions from the table bank, and maintaining impress bank according to established procedures. Maintains game integrity by maintaining up-to-date knowledge of game procedures and house rules, applying procedures accordingly, informing players of rules as needed, and summoning Floor Managers for all game-related decisions. Provides guests with an enjoyable and entertaining atmosphere by welcoming and treating guests in friendly and courteous manner, providing guests with assistance and information as needed, and thanking guests for playing. Maintains adequate supply of poker chips by running chips from poker cage, refilling poker table banks, selling chips to guests upon request, and recording transactions according to established procedures. Coordinates poker room seating by greeting guests, issuing paging devices to notify players of availability of requested games, recording appropriate information on poker board, and notifying Floor Managers of table changes and seat lock-ups. Maintains the integrity of card control policy by properly suiting cards, checking for defects, matching cards, replacing cards as needed, and contacting surveillance and the casino cage as directed.

Essential:
Ability to pass an audition demonstrating knowledge and proficiency dealing all Poker games.
Desirable:
Certificate of completion from an accredited and/or recognized Dealing School 6 months casino dealing experience 1 or more years of experience dealing poker games
Skills and Knowledge:
Essential:
Working knowledge of rules and procedures applicable to poker games Working knowledge of Poker game protection Working knowledge of shuffle procedures Ability to shuffle and deal cards repetitively Ability to deal 10 hands per down for Stud Poker Ability to deal 15 hands per down for Hold'em Ability to deal rapidly and effectively Ability to use shuffle machine Ability to cut chips quickly and accurately Ability to perform mathematical calculations Ability to sit for up to three hours at a time Ability to work in a smoking environment Ability to accept constructive criticism Ability to appear for work on time Ability to work various days and shifts
Desirable:
Working knowledge of Title 31 procedures Ability to deal above average hands per hour
