Job Description

Job Summary The Casino Runner (or Lounge Floor Runner) ensures patrons have a seamless, friendly, and compliant gaming experience. You are responsible for monitoring the casino floor, handling cash transactions and machine payouts, serving beverages and snacks, and maintaining a clean, welcoming environment.
Core Responsibilities Guest Service & Hospitality:
Greet players warmly, build rapport with regular local patrons, and cultivate an inviting, comfortable atmosphere. Anticipate player needs by taking and delivering drink and food orders.
Cash Handling & Payouts:
Accurately operate the cash register, manage a cash drawer, and facilitate cash-outs for winning players. Verify machine vouchers and payouts according to strict financial procedures.
Beverage & Bar Service:
Mix, pour, and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. Keep the bar area clean, restock inventory, and manage bar supplies.
Compliance & Security:
Strictly verify patron IDs to confirm everyone meets the legal age requirements for both gambling (18+ in Montana) and alcohol consumption (21+). Monitor the floor for any suspicious behavior or machine tampering.
Machine & Floor Upkeep:
Perform general housekeeping duties to keep the casino area pristine (wiping down machines, emptying ashtrays/trash, keeping walkways clear). Assist with basic machine troubleshooting (handling paper jams or resetting minor errors).
Required Qualifications & Skills Age Requirement:
Must be at least 18 years old to work on a Montana gaming floor (and 21 if the position requires mixing/serving hard liquor unsupervised).
Certifications:
Ability to obtain a Montana Responsible Alcohol Service (RAS) certification within the state's required window.
Math & Cash Skills:
Strong basic math skills and experience handling cash accurately under fast-paced conditions.
Physical Stamina:
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and move around a floor for the entirety of an 8-hour shift, and lift up to 30-50 lbs (like restocking ice or beverage cases).
Availability:
High flexibility for scheduling, as these roles heavily require evening, weekend, and holiday availability—especially during Bigfork's booming summer tourist season.
The Bigfork Nuance:
Because Bigfork is a tight-knit community with a heavy influx of summer tourists, hiring managers look intensely for personality. Being naturally outgoing and able to juggle pouring a beer while counting out a $500 machine payout with a smile is exactly what gets you hired (and lands the best tips) .
Pay:
$21.61 - $26.03 per hour
Work Location:
In person
