Job Summary A Poker Dealer is responsible for facilitating the game of poker by dealing cards to players, managing the pot, and enforcing game rules. They must be knowledgeable about various poker games and have excellent customer service and communication skills.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Deals Poker games by applicable laws and company policies and procedures. Greets guests to Poker tables, provides information about the game, answers any questions players may have about procedures, and provides instructions to the players as needed. Collects rake at the end of each bet and upon completion of the game, drops the rake into the table drop box; assures accuracy of the rake count. ensures the integrity of the game and provides an enjoyable gaming experience. Maintains a working knowledge of company policies, internal controls, and applicable laws. How You Will Create the Extraordinary EDUCATION and/or
EXPERIENCE
MUST have knowledge and experience in dealing with Poker at a licensed venue. High School graduate or GED required.
PHYSICAL, MENTAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS
Must be 21 years of age or older. Must be able to obtain a VA Lottery Gaming License. Ability to effectively communicate, read, and understand English. Must be able to bend, reach, kneel, twist, and grip items while working at the assigned area. Must be able to lift 25 lbs. Must be able to work at a fast pace and in stressful situations. Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English. Must be able to respond to visual and aural cues. Must be able to tolerate areas containing secondhand smoke, high noise levels, bright lights, and dust.
